NOTICE TO QUALIFIED CONTRACTORS – Notice is hereby given that the City of Fridley and its Construction Manager (RJM Construction) are seeking to prequalify contractors for participation in bidding related to construction of the new Fridley Commons Park Building project. After the deadline for responses to this RFQ, the City and RJM will establish a list of qualified firms based on approved selection criteria, which will be available for review as noted below. Contractors interested in being selected through the RFQ process should join the project through Building Connected:

Contractors approved to be included on the list will have the opportunity to competitively bid on the contract work for the project. RFQ responses are due to simon.midtbo@rjmconstruction.com Tuesday, February 11, 2025. The project work scope consists of all work scopes required to construct the new park building. The new building will serve as the focal point of the transformative Commons Park Redevelopment Project. Along with providing a home for the City’s recreational programming, the building will be a community destination for celebrations, summer camps, and special events. Additionally, the building will support exterior park improvements including an inclusive playground, splash pad, picnic shelters, athletic facilities, and winter recreation. Project documents including the Proposal Form, Drawings and Specifications will be on file at the office of the Construction Manager:

An optional informational meeting will be conducted virtually on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at 1:00pm. If you do plan to attend the meeting, we do ask that you register via email with Simon Midtbo (simon.midtbo@rjmconstruction.com) by EOD Friday, January 31, 2025.

Complete digital project Documents are available at www.questcdn.com for $22.00 by inputting project #9506990 on the website’s Project Search page. Paper Bidding Documents may also be viewed at RJM Construction, 830 Boone Avenue N, Golden Valley MN 55427 or can be purchased from National Reprographics by calling 651-779-8000. Complete set(s) of hard copy project Documents can be obtained through National Reprographics as noted in AIA Document A701, Article 1. A digital download of the documents will be available for purchase for access with check made payable to National Reprographics. They are also available at any of the building exchanges. Plans will be available on or about January 28, 2025. The schedule for the project is to commence construction work spring 2025 with substantial completion for construction scheduled for summer 2026. Work will be completed according to the preliminary project construction schedule issued in the project Documents.
