Anoka County - Home Rehabilitation Loan Program - Deferred payment loans to homeowners looking to address health and safety concerns at home; income restrictions apply.

Anoka County - Emergency & Accessibility Home Loan - Deferred loan financing to address emergency conditions in owner-occupied homes; income restrictions apply.

Hearts & Hammers - Home Restoration and Painting - No-cost exterior painting and home improvement assistance to residents of the Twin Cities that are disabled or over 60 years old; income restrictions apply.

Rebuilding Together Minnesota - Home Repair Program - Volunteer home repair for homeowners under 50 percent Area Median Income with priority given to seniors, parents, disabled individuals, and active or retired members of the armed services.

State of Minnesota Commerce Department - Weatherization Assistance Program - Payment assistance for permanent home improvements that lead to energy savings, including furnace and boiler replacements and repairs, insulation and air leakage reduction; income restrictions apply.

State of Minnesota Department of Health - Asbestos Resources - Information and recommendations for the detection and safe removal of household asbestos.

State of Minnesota Department of Health - Lead Resources - Information, recommendations, and grants related to the detection and mitigation of household lead.

US Department of Veterans Affairs - Saint Paul Regional Loan Center Services - Various loan options available for veterans.

Minnesota Housing and Finance Agency - Home Energy Loan - Home energy improvement loans available statewide.

Minnesota Housing and Finance Agency - Home Improvement Loans - State-sponsored home improvement loans up to $2,000-75,000; income restrictions apply.

US Department of Veterans Affairs - Disability Housing Grants - Grants and loans available for disabled veterans to allow for home modification that better meets their needs.

Payment Assistance

Anoka County - Cash Programs - Various economic assistance programs for low-income individuals and families. Programs are present for refugees, seniors, disabled individuals, mothers with children under 18 and parents of disabled children.

Anoka County - Emergency Programs - Funding to prevent homelessness or utility shut off in crisis situations.

Anoka County - Group Residential Housing Support - State funded income supplement for rent, utilities, household needs, or food for low-income residents that are over 18 with a low income or over 65.

Anoka County Community Action Program - Energy Assistance - Financial assistance for energy costs during the cold weather season; income restrictions apply.

Minnesota Homeownership Center - Advisory Services - Free advisors available for foreclosures, refinancing, and reverse mortgages.

Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity - Mortgage Foreclosure Help - Counseling, advocacy, and resources to assist homeowners behind on mortgage payments or property taxes.

Anoka County Community Action Program - Chores & More - Assists seniors with housekeeping, minor home repairs, and seasonal chores - including lawn maintenance.

Rebuilding Together Minnesota - Safe at Home Program - Assists seniors and those with disabilities in installing home safety and fall prevention modifications; income restrictions apply.
