Fridley Police Association Scholarship

The Fridley Police Association is excited to announce a scholarship opportunity for students pursuing degrees in public safety-related fields!
This scholarship is open to students attending high schools within the City of Fridley who are enrolled or plan to enroll in a State College, University, Community College, Vocational, or Technical Institute and are pursuing education in any public safety program, such as law enforcement, fire science, emergency medical services, or criminal justice.
Awarded recipients must submit a claim within one calendar year from the date awarded with proof of a GPA equivalent to/or above a "C" average and a receipt showing proof of payment to the educational institution. The scholarship will then be issued to the student as a reimbursement check.
Application Components
· Personal Statement: Write a personal statement outlining your interest in public safety, your career goals, and why you are applying for this scholarship. (maximum two pages)
· Letters of Recommendation: Prove one or two letters of recommendation from teachers, counselors or community members familiar with your commitment to public safety.
· Transcript: Submit your high school transcript to demonstrate academic performance.
Award Amount
One scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded.
Deadline to Apply
· April 15, 2025
· Applications will be reviewed, and the scholarship will be awarded by May 2025.
