Birthday Parties

Create lasting memories, have a birthday party at Springbrook! Birthday Parties (unless otherwise noted) are for children turning 4 - 11. Included in your fee are: a private rental space for two hours, a 45-minute outdoor naturalist program (topics listed below), and access to exhibits and nature trails. Call the nature center (763-572-3588) to book your party today!

Maximum number of attendees: maximum of 15 children and up to five adults

Time slots: Saturdays or Sundays, 10 a.m. - noon or 2-4 p.m.

Fort Building

Get ready for imagination and creative construction! Step into nature to use materials at hand to create one-of-a-kind forts with your friends.

Fire Building (ages 8+)

Ignite your excitement, camaraderie, and adventure as we celebrate a basic survival need of fire building. Join a naturalist will lead your party to the thrill of mastering the flames!

Prehistoric Games

Step back in time and embark on a journey to uncover games from the past. Play a collection of games that can be played anywhere with homemade tools.

Animal Tracks and Signs

Are you curious about what creatures live at Springbrook Nature Center? Take a hike to look for clues of animals, using indicators like tracks, scat and even potential homes!

Pond Exploration (April-October)

Dive into the secret world of wetlands! Dip a net or container into our pond and get an up-close view of the creatures that live there.

Insect Discovery (April-October)

Learn about the insects within Springbrook’s Prairies. We’ll get up close to the diverse world of insects and how they color our landscapes.

Reptiles

Hike with a naturalist to learn about Minnesota reptiles. Then come inside to meet one of Springbrook’s very own live residents!

Scavenger Hunt (ages 4-7)

Follow naturalist clues on an adventure throughout the park! There are two themes available:

  • Eco Pirates: Arrr! Follow the clues to find the hidden treasure and defeat the beast that protects it!
  • Wildlife Search: Can you find all the hidden Minnesota animals? Use your owl eyes to find your hidden animals and then team up to help others.

Snowshoeing (three inches of snowpack required)

Let’s explore Springbrook like a snowshoe hare! Put on some snowshoes and see what we can find in the woods while exploring traditional winter recreation.
