Winter Park Amenities
Ice Skating
The City of Fridley maintains four general skating rinks and six hockey rinks in Fridley! Please note, we need ten consecutive days of freezing temperatures to create safe and usable ice. Warm weather, freezing rain, and even snow can slow the process down, but we do our best to get the rinks ready as soon as possible.
General Rinks
General skating rinks are general use, smaller in size, and don't have hockey rink boards.
Hockey Rinks
Hockey rinks are regulation size and include hockey rink boards.
Sledding Hill
If you are looking for a great place to bring downhill sleds, try out Commons Park (6249 7th Street NE)! The sledding hill is located just beyond the Commons Park playground and picnic shelter.
Cross Country Skiing and Multi-Use Trails
Enjoy multi-use groomed trails in our parks! Six-foot trails are groomed including a three-foot section for cross country skiing and a three-foot section for multi-use.
Multi-use trails can be used for a variety of activities including walking, fat tire biking and snowshoeing. Trails are located at:
- Moore Lake Park
- Commons Park
- Flanery Park
- Meadowlands Park
- Riverview Heights Park
Please note: We do our best to groom the trails weekly depending on snow depths and conditions.
