[ARCHIVED] Suspect Apprehended in Juvenile Stabbing Incident

On Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at approximately 6:39 p.m., officers from the Fridley Police were dispatched to a stabbing involving two juvenile males.

Upon speaking to the 15-year old victim, officers determined that the assault had occurred in the 5800 block of 3rd St NE, and that the 14-year old suspect was known to the victim. Officers located the suspect and took him into custody for 2nd degree assault without incident.

The victim was transported by ambulance to the Hennepin County Medical Center with a non-life threatening stab wound to the head.

The suspect was transported by ambulance to Unity Hospital for a small finger laceration as a result of the assault. He was later transported to the Lino Lakes Regional Juvenile Center by Fridley Police.
