Adult Sport Leagues, Kids Winter Break Trips & More!

K-5 Winter Break Trips. Adult Volleyball and Boot Hockey Leagues, and E-Sports League!

K-5 Winter Break Trips

Want to spend your day off school with high paced games or navigating a giant obstacle course? Or would you rather spend the day outside with some sledding and adventure? Join us for Grand Slam, Pump it Up, or Snow Tubing at Wirth Park. Space is limited, so make sure to sign up early!

December 28-30, $40 per trip. 

Transportation provided from Hayes Elementary School and extended care hours available.

Adult Boot Hockey League

Hit the ice for some friendly competition! Our annual Boot Hockey Co-Rec League registration ends soon!  These officiated, no-checking leagues have two officials. Each league is limited to 8 teams. Teams will play 7 games (weather permitting). Registration ends December 20. Leagues will begin early January (weather permitting). Games will be scheduled between 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. and take place at Commons Park ice rinks.

North Metro Adult Volleyball League starts Jan. 10!

Join your friends for this new Indoor Volleyball League in partnership with Spring Lake Park and New Brighton recreation departments. Each team is guaranteed at least 10 games, and the team with the best record at the end of the season get t-shirts as a prize, provided by Taho Sportswear. 

Co-Rec League games take place Monday nights from 6-10 PM at Highview Middle School. Women's League games take place Wednesday nights at the same time and place. Ages 18+. $350/team.

Join our Esports League! 

Join Parks and Rec for our Esports league!  What are eSports?  Electronic sports (Esports) are online, organized video game leagues promoting camaraderie in our community through safe, admin-regulated platforms. 

Fridley Recreation has joined Blaine, Spring Lake Park and New Brighton to create the North Metro Esports League in partnership with GGLeagues! The first leagues will take place on weekday evenings between January 24 – March 18. Participants will be able to register for the season and participate in as many leagues as they choose. Games offered include: Madden21, Rocket League, Fortnite, and Super Smash Bros. League age divisions are 8-12, 13-18, and 18+.

$40 for a season pass.  Register online
