Amending the Fridley City Code Chapter 6, Commissions
The City of Fridley does ordain, after review, examination and staff recommendation that Chapter 6, Commissions, of the Fridley City Code be amended as follows:

6.02 COMMISSIONS GENERALLY
1. Membership.
A. Each commission, unless otherwise indicated, shall consist of seven (7) Fridley residents appointed by City Council.
B. The commission chairperson shall be elected by the commission membership and shall also serve as a member of the Planning Commission.
C. The commission members shall be appointed by the City Council for three (3) year terms, except the City Council shall make every effort to stagger the appointments so that the terms of no more than three (3) members shall expire in any one (1) year. Attempt shall be made to have all City wards represented on the commissions. Upon the expiration of their terms of office members shall continue to serve until their successor shall have been appointed.
D. The commissions shall each year, from their own members choose a chairperson and vice‑chairperson. At any meeting of the commissions if the regular chairperson is unable to attend, the vice‑chairperson shall act as chairperson.
