Election Judges

Election Judges are responsible for the administration of election procedures in each polling location on election day. Election Judges help guarantee the rights of voters are protected on election day and that the election process is fair and in accordance with our laws.

Election Judges are an integral part of making the election process work smoothly for voters. If you are interested in serving your community in this way please complete the Election Judge Application and return it by December 6.

If you are interested in serving as an Election Judge, to begin the process, you may:

Election Judges are paid $10 per hour and paid training is provided.

Minnesota State Law allows time off from work without loss of wages to serve as an Election Judge as long as you provide at least a 20-day notice to your employer.

Students who are at least 16 years of age may serve as Student Judges. Student Judges perform all job functions of a polling place and are paid $10 per hour.

Election Judges are required to attend a minimum of two hours of training, for which you will be paid.
