About SafeCam
Do you have a surveillance camera at your residence or business? If so, Fridley Public Safety would like to partner with you to help keep your neighborhood safe.
Security cameras can be a great tool when solving crimes, but police are not always aware who has surveillance cameras and potentially vital information to help solve a crime.
The Fridley Public Safety Department is asking residents and businesses to voluntarily register their private video surveillance systems with the department and allow officers to contact them should a crime occur in or near where the camera is installed.
The SafeCam program is 100 percent voluntary and does not provide Fridley Public Safety with access to security camera systems that are privately owned by participants. Your personal information will remain confidential and will not be distributed except as required by law or court order. You may opt out of the program at any time by calling the Public Safety Department at 763-572-3629.
