Preschool Activities – Ages 3-5
Sports: Fridley Recreation sports programs are designed for kids who want to learn basic skills while being active and having fun! Instructors focus on teaching age appropriate fundamentals while encouraging teamwork.

Family Open Gym ends 4/2/22: Feeling cooped up inside as the weather is getting colder? Bring your kids to the gym for some fun activities! Join us for free play with hoops, balls, scooters, jump ropes, a bouncy house and more!
Drop in fee: $3/child, $6/family
5 Card Punch Passes: $10/child, $20/family
Recommended ages 1-5. Saturdays, 10am to 12pm: 2/12-4/2. Hayes Gym

- Zumba: Enjoy the party as we shake to the rhythms of Latin-infused music/dance with our instructor Lenka Seferovic!
- Aqua Zumba: Aqua ZUMBA gives new meaning to to the idea of a refreshing workout. Integrating the ZUMBA philosophy with traditional aquatic fitness, every class is a party!
- Adult Co-Rec Sand Volleyball Leagues: Join your friends for this new Indoor Volleyball League in partnership with Spring Lake Park and New Brighton recreation departments. Each team is guaranteed at least 10 games, and play will take place at parks in Spring Lake Park.

- Adult Softball League: USSSA sanctioned league that takes place at Community Park. All leagues play double-headers and run 12 weeks (including play-offs).

- Bag Toss League: 7 weeks of summer play with teams of two players of any gender combo! Thursdays at Community Park.
- Pickleball Court Reservations: Looking to play Pickleball this winter? We will be offering indoor court rental at the Hayes Gym from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays beginning on 2/1/22. Fee is $15 per hour; balls and paddles are available. Reservations must be made at least one week in advance. Please contact us at 763-572-3570 to reserve a time.
- Open Pickleball (May-Oct.): Register to be added to our summer pickleball list and we'll let you know who's looking to play!
- Pickleball Classes: Get ready to take your pickleball skills to the next level! Players will be able to improve their play style and technique by focusing on a different area of the game each week. Equipment is available if needed.
- Pickleball Ladder League: Self officiated. Players will be placed in doubles games with players of similar levels, with ranking based on winning percentage. Players move up/down the ladder based on their winning percentage.

ROX: Recreation in a Box: We have you covered for fun at home with some exciting themed activities that will keep everyone entertained. Simply sign up and you will receive a kit full of goodies to get the party started.

Fridley Forward 50K: Be active this spring with our virtual 50K! Get your distance in however you prefer--walking, running, swimming, biking, hiking, etc. All participants will receive a t-shirt. Open to all ages and abilities.
Spring North Metro Esports League

Join our Spring League! Registration ends April 13, 2022.
Fridley Recreation has joined Blaine, Spring Lake Park and New Brighton to create the North Metro Esports League in partnership with GGLeagues! The first leagues will take place on weekday evenings between April 18 - June 6. Participants will be able to register for the season and participate in as many leagues as they choose. Games offered include: Madden21, Rocket League, Fortnite, and Super Smash Bros.
We are especially excited that these are SAFE and FUN esports competitions designed for players of all ages. GGLeagues will have tournament admins and referees who will be present to enforce the rules, ensure the safety of all players, and most importantly make sure everyone is having a great time.

$40 per person*
*A player only needs to purchase 1 season pass which will unlock all the games offered in the Winter season. If the game is team based, all players will need to purchase a season pass.

We are thrilled to be offering this great new opportunity to the North Metro area. Not only will the esports experience provide players with a safe alternative to getting together in person this Winter, it also provides a great opportunity to connect with fellow gamers and practice with teammates in an environment for those that may not be able to or choose not to play in traditional sports. For single player (1v1) leagues:
- Create an account on GGLeagues platform: www.ggleagues.com
- Navigate to https://app.ggleagues.com/clubs/fridley-parks-recreation and look for the league pass section in the middle of the page - hit the ‘Get a Fridley Parks and Recreation pass!’ button on the middle of the screen.
- Click on the link to purchase a league pass and you will be redirected to a new window for payment
- After purchasing the League Pass you will be redirected back to your communities organization page
- Select the league(s) that you would like to participate in and click “Join League”
For multiplayer (2v2, 3v3, 4v4, 5v5, 6v6) leagues:
- Each player will create an account on GGLeagues platform: www.ggleagues.com
- Navigate to https://app.ggleagues.com/clubs/fridley-parks-recreation and look for the league pass section in the middle of the page - hit the ‘Get a Fridley Parks and Recreation pass!’ button on the middle of the screen.
- Click on the link to purchase a league pass and you will be redirected to a new window for payment
- After purchasing the League Pass you will be redirected back to your communities organization page
- Each player will select and purchase the league pass that is available for your organization.
- After all teammates have purchased the League Pass, one of the players will create a new team: www.ggleagues.com/teams/new
- The remaining team members will join that newly created team. The teammate that created the team can invite the remaining members via the ‘Create instant invite’ button, to the team or the teammates can search the team name here: https://app.ggleagues.com/teams
- Once all members have joined the team, and each player has set up their League Pass, the team captain will be able to see and register for any esports leagues available on: https://app.ggleagues.com/clubs/fridley-parks-recreation

Fridley Youth Sports Association (FYSA)
Fridley Youth Sports Association (FYSA) promotes youth sports in Fridley, providing opportunities for all youth to participate in competitive and recreational team sports. FYSA is a non-profit organization relying solely on parent volunteers. Current sports offered through FYSA include Baseball, Basketball, Football, Softball and Soccer.

Spring Lake Park Lacrosse Association (SLPYLA)
SLPYLA provides lacrosse opportunities for youth in Spring Lake Park and surrounding communities. Registration, season information and more can be found on their website. Please visit https://www.springlakeparklacrosse.org/ for more information.
The City of Fridley supports the SLPYA by providing information but does not coordinate the leagues or handle registration.
