On Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at approximately 6:39 p.m., officers from the Fridley Police were dispatched to a stabbing involving two juvenile males. Upon speaking to the 15-year old victim, officers determined that the assault had occurred in the 5800 block of 3rd St NE, and that the 14-year old suspect was known to the victim.
Officers located the suspect and took him into custody for 2nd degree assault without incident.
The victim was transported by ambulance to the Hennepin County Medical Center with a non-life threatening stab wound to the head.
The suspect was transported by ambulance to Unity Hospital for a small finger laceration as a result of the assault. He was later transported to the Lino Lakes Regional Juvenile Center by Fridley Police.
The case is currently still under investigation by the Fridley Police Department.
Update on December 23, 2015: Firearm Discharge in Target on 12/13/15
Fridley Police have identified and formally charged Seth Allan Millner with Possession of a firearm by an ineligible person. Mr. Millner is the suspect responsible for discharging a firearm inside the Fridley Target store on Sunday, December 13, 2015. Millner was identified by a citizen who saw the story on a local news channel and called to report the information to the Fridley Police Department. During the investigation, police learned on December 14th Inver Grove Heights PD recovered the get-away vehicle severely damaged and abandoned in a wooded area of their city. On December 17th, Millner was arrested by St. Paul Police for driving a stolen automobile, possession of narcotics, possession of a firearm by an ineligible person, and possession of a stolen handgun. Millner was interviewed by Fridley Police detectives and admitted to being responsible for the handgun discharge at Target. Mr. Millner remains in custody at the Ramsey County jail. On Sunday December 13, 2015 at 5:20 PM Fridley Police responded to Target located at 755 53rd Avenue NE in the City of Fridley on a report of a shot fired inside the store. Once on scene officers learned the suspect who fired the shot had left in a small dark colored passenger vehicle. Police searched the area and were unable to locate the suspect.
The police investigation revealed that a male and female had entered the store and were at the cash regisiter paying for their items which were small snack types items and soda. The suspects engaged the clerk in conversation which included the fact that they were on a 12-15 hour long road trip in their vehicle. During the checkout process the male began to make an adjustment to his left ankle area of his leg. While he was making that adjustment a shot was fired from his left ankle area. The shot struck the floor of the store. The suspects then ran out of the store and left in a vehicle. The male appeared to be limping as they left the store. There was no blood at the scene to indicate the suspect was struck with the bullet. No bystanders were injured in the incident. Fridley Police continue to investigate this incident and are seeking to identify the people involved. We ask anyone with information to call Fridley Police at 763-572-3629.

Suspect #2: White female, late 20’s, long dark hair, wearing a pink shirt covered by a blue/black hooded sweatshirt with LOVE PINK written on the front. The sweatshirt was covered by a second grey sweatshirt. Dark colored jeans and white tennis shoes.

Update on December 21, 2015 Burglary Arrest
On December 22, 2015, the suspect was formally charged in Anoka County district court with 1st Degree Burglary. The suspect remains in custody at the Anoka County jail. Fridley Police were assisted by the Anoka County Sheriff Department, Columbia Heights Police Department and the Minnesota State Patrol during the initial search for the suspect. On December 21, 2015, a resident witnessed a suspect kicking in a neighbor's back door and making entry into the home. The witness took immediate and appropriate action by calling 9-1-1. Fridley Officers responded quickly and observed a suspect running away and jumping backyard fences between Main Street and 2nd Street.
Officers attempted to intercept the suspect at the 4800 block of 2nd Street without success. The suspect was observed carrying a black vinyl rifle case. The victim in this burglary confirmed that a bolt action hunting rifle was taken from his home. Fridley Officers conducted a thorough search of the area and a comprehensive investigation. Later that evening, Fridley Officers located and arrested the suspect and recovered the stolen property.
As a side note, on November 1, 2015, the same suspect was arrested in connection with an assault and robbery of a person that occurred in the 6800 block of University Ave NE.
